Ireland, internationally renowned for not only the exploits of the famous Arthur Guinness but also for our high quality produce in the agriculture sector. As technology advances, the food sector has certainly not been left in the dark, unlike banking some industries.

With this in mind, we have compiled a list of our favorite 5 Irish food startups who we believe are set for big things. So with rumbling bellies and in no particular order, here are our food faves from Ireland.

The Dublin based duo have created a delicious range of flavored butters which are now available in over 50 stores nationwide. Following a successful pitch on Dragons Den the girls look set for greater things and we look forward to following to watching this brand grow.

Former investment banker, Dave McGeady, walked away from chasing Wall Street to create Wyldsson. His company provide healthy snacks packed with lots of good stuff, perfect for when you’ve got an itch for a little bite. But don’t take our word for it, maybe some of Wyldsson’s customers can tempt you. The list includes Rory McIlroy, Kobe Bryant and Aiden McGeady and many more.

Foodcloud are on a mission. Started during college, FoodCloud offer a free service to link restaurants, supermarkets and caterers with excess food to local charities. Aiming to make a huge dent in poverty and reduce waste, the girls have seen great success in Ireland and have already distributed over 154,000 meals, to a network of 140 charities across Ireland. This Husband and Wife pairing followed their passion and moved to Italy to immerse themselves in food. The result? A delicious gluten and dairy free ice cream, which is aptly named Frozen Goodness.  As craft beer explodes in popularity here in Dublin, the team at the Five Lamps Brewery have been busy keeping up with demand. Started just 2 years ago, the team now produces 4 different beers, which can be found in a wide range of Ireland’s most popular bars and hotels. With an authentic feel and a delicious product we are sure these guys are set for big things.
